Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are in place for the safety and welfare of our clients, their dogs and staff of Big Dog Little Dog.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will come into effect immediately. Please read these terms and conditions in full before making a booking, and get in touch if there's anything you're not sure about. By making a booking we will assume you have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions laid out below.
Big Dog Little Dog is a member of The Animal Behaviour Training Council, Puppy School and Cheryl Holden is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (MAPDT: 01536). Members of these associations agree to abide by their code of ethics: using force free, scientifically based, modern methods of reward based and positive reinforcement methods. We will never use harsh handling or positive punishment to train a dog, clients using these methods will be discouraged and shown how to use positive reinforcement instead. Any handler who continues to use positive punishment in sessions will be asked to leave or the session will be stopped immediately and no refund will be given.
We will never use equipment that causes harm, pain, fear or discomfort to the dog for training purposes and will strongly discourage the use of them by handlers. We reserve the right to stop a training session or ask a handler to leave a class if they continue to use this kind of equipment, no refund for missed training will be given. Equipment includes (but is not limited to) choke chains, spray or electric shock collars, pinch or prong collars, rattle bottles, noise discs, compressed air canisters, water sprayer

Bookings:
All bookings (classes and one to one training) must be paid for within 48 hours. Bookings are not secured until payment has been received, and will be reopened if payment is not received within 48 hours. By placing a booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Cancellations:
All cancellations must be received at least 24 hours before the appointment. Payment will be lost if a session is cancelled less than the given period of time.

If you cancel a session within the given period of time, and wish to reschedule, you must book an alternative session within 1 month of the original appointment. Failure to do will be deemed as a full cancellation and payment cannot be redeemed or refunded.

Cancelled sessions cannot be rescheduled more than once.

Unfortunately, if a client is late for the appointment we cannot extend the time to make up for that lost at the beginning of the session.

If, for any reason, your instructor has to cancel a session you will be issued with a full refund or offered a new appointment as soon as possible after the original.

We love to take photographs and videos of some training sessions and share them on social media. If you are not happy for this please let your instructor know.
Big Dog Little Dog reserves the right to change the timing, date or venue of classes or one to one sessions in order to provide a high quality service or where it is necessary for reasons beyond our control.
