The Den

At the start of 2025 I made a big leap from hiring village halls, and took on my dream of using my own unit to teach classes and one to one sessions in.

When we took it over it had been used as a cabinetry workshop, so it was very 'industrial', dusty and a little tired. My husband and I worked tirelessly for 2 months to bring my vision of a dog-dedicated venue to life.

 

I wanted it to feel welcoming, to have floors that didn't send dogs skating around, I wanted a little shop area with natural, affordable products and for the whole place to be accessible to dogs who might struggle in classes.

The whole unit is designed with dogs in mind - non-slip flooring, a 'zen pen' for dogs needing space, 2 exits to allow dogs to leave without entering each other spaces, toys to use, equipment to borrow (I literally have spares of everything you might need!) and of course, lots of scentwork activities.
